We absolutely loved our stay at Firefly Hills RV Park! The entire campground had such a welcoming, thoughtful feel. I especially loved the locally sourced items in their store, and the bathrooms and showers were incredibly clean, spacious, and well maintained. Our kids absolutely loved the natural, unique play areas. Instead of a typical playground, they had spaces that really allowed their imaginations to come to life, which was such a fun and refreshing touch. You can tell they truly care about their campground and the people who stay there. Firefly RV Park is a gem in Red River Gorge, and we would absolutely stay again!

We booked this as a last minute getaway, and couldn’t be happier with our choice. The RV spots are large, with beautiful picnic tables and space to spread out. The bathrooms were clean, roomy, and well maintained. The campground as a whole offered a communal fire pit, a garden we had access to where we could pick fresh fruits and veggies, games, animals- everything! I’ve never seen so many amenities at a campground before. The owner was a true delight, her care for the area and supporting local shining through in all our conversations. I could not recommend this place more.

We loved our stay at Firefly Hills. They have big generous modern RV sites with all the necessary amenities. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful as it was our first time in the Red River Gorge area. Plus, being invited to raid the vegetable garden for our dinners meant we ate farm fresh veggies. We also availed ourselves of the camp store's local products, including succulent NY Strip Steaks, homemade bread, local roasted coffee, and exquisitely scented bar soaps to bring home with us. Firefly Hills RV Park was one of our family's favorite campground stays. We chose it because of the natural play areas for our three boys, and it exceeded our expectations. Instead of a traditional playground, kids can climb giant webs, explore log play structures, use the mud kitchen, swing in hammocks, and create their own adventures. Our children stayed entertained for hours. The campground is clean, peaceful, and thoughtfully designed. Check-in was simple, our full-hookup site was spacious and level, and the staff was incredibly friendly and responsive throughout our stay. The private bathhouse was spotless and worked especially well for our family. Having individual bathrooms made it much easier to help our youngest after a muddy afternoon, while still giving him some privacy. The on-site laundry was another bonus for full-time RV families. What impressed us most was Firefly Hills' commitment to accessibility and inclusion. The accessible bathhouse, open campground layout, and welcoming community spaces made it clear that everyone is considered. As someone living with lupus and multiple joint replacements, I appreciated the thoughtful design. Our autistic son also loved the quiet spaces, hammocks, wooded trails, and "thinking spot" where he could take a break when he needed one. Firefly Hills is still growing, but it's already a wonderful place for families, full-time RVers, and anyone looking for a peaceful campground with a strong sense of community. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.

We stayed at Firefly Hills RV Park over July 4th weekend. We were in a 43' 5th wheel, and it fit perfectly. We did not feel crowded at all. This is a very small campground, for those looking for something a little more 'boutique'. The grounds are fantastic, with hammocks, a large community fire pit, a garden you can stroll thru and pick veggies, a dog park, a children's play area in the woods, the cleanest bath house I've ever experienced at a campground, a laundry facility, a cute market, lots of deer, and even a friendly kitty cat. The 12x16 Casita on our lot was the perfect place to play games in the evening and get out of the sweltering heat. I'm sure I'm missing some other amenities. Trust me when I tell you this is a hidden gem and we can't wait to go back!

My boyfriend and I had a blast celebrating our anniversary at Firefly! It literally was one of the best places that we've ever stayed at. The 1920s farm house itself is astonishingly charming and engaging. That paranormal lore adds even more to the atmosphere. Everything was clean with period decor, a nice library and large front and back porches. It is situated in the rolling hills of Kentucky. There are also attractions for children such as activity areas and games as well as for the athletically inclined, such as pickleball and basketball. The groundskeeper Fred was not just on his job but warm and friendly. So much can be said about Firefly. But the best thing is to see it yourself! We plan on coming back in the fall. And we also are going to share the experience with our friends and family. Check it out!

Firefly Hills exceeded our expectations! The property was beautiful and well maintained. We picked fresh zucchini and green beans to add to our dinner. After our day of racing at the Appalachia Overland Tract, we came back and showered in the bathhouse so we could make the 19 hour drive back to Florida. We will be coming back for a relaxing time! Quiet, clean & in general a very beautiful campus. Tons of flora and fauna, along with low light pollution for star gazing. Very clean bathhouse and grounds in general. Tonya and her husband, Troy were very responsive and personable. The RV was very modern, clean and well maintained. It's only 30 minutes from Slade, well worth the drive. It's also close to other local businesses, if you need anything.

We absolutely loved this RV park. We were welcomed by the park’s cat, Ralph (and the owner). The facilities are next level in every way. We had the most amazing stay at Firefly Hills! This was a last-minute booking, and from the very beginning, Tonja went above and beyond. She personally called to confirm details about our room and made sure it would work for our family, which immediately made us feel cared for. When we arrived, we were welcomed so warmly and given a full tour of the property. They even invited all guests to a bonfire and had activities planned, which made the experience feel so much more personal than a typical stay. There is truly something for everyone here. My 8-year-old son had a great time—there were other kids, plenty of space to explore, and so much to do right on the property. We loved fishing at the two ponds, hiking, and just enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. The house itself was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. The rooms were large, the kitchen was beautiful, and everything was well maintained. Even the RV areas and views from the hill were stunning. And the sunsets… absolutely breathtaking!! We honestly wish we had stayed longer just to enjoy everything on-site. If you’re visiting Red River Gorge, this is the place to stay. We will definitely be back!!! Thank you Tonja and Troy! Oh and the house manager cat! He’s so sweet!

We had an incredible stay at Firefly Hills RV Park. This is truly a boutique-style RV park that offers a perfect blend of comfort and charm. The sites are spacious, the surroundings are peaceful, and the entire property has a cozy, country feel that makes it easy to relax and unwind. One of our favorite parts was the hiking right on the property—such a unique touch. The casita was an amazing bonus and a great way to change things up from RV living for a bit.
