Our stay at Firefly Hills was magical to say the least. As a full time RVer this campground was literally and figuratively a breath of fresh air. My boys 11&13 adventured in the woods for hours, helped around the farm and absolutely loved it. Our pup ran free in the dog run that overlooks a beautiful pond. I loved being able to pick fresh veggies from the garden and turn them into a beautiful meal! Firefly Hills filled a deep need for us I didn’t even realize we had! We came in tired and left rejuvenated. Troy and Tonja’s focus on community and connection made us feel like family. We will for sure be returning to Firefly Hills!

Looking for an affordable place to get away from the hustle and bustle of life? A place that makes you feel welcomed and at home even though you’re away? Firefly Hills is the place to go! The rooms are spacious, beautiful and comfortable. The staff (the owners) are amazing! The location is perfect for the quiet relaxing setting you're looking for. The porch is huge with a swing (you do have to share with the manager, Ralph the cat)and plenty of seating to enjoy and see the beautiful sunsets and sunrises. The chickens across the street will be missed by my husband, they were his favorite. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful place! Great people and beautiful location. We stayed in the new RV park with full hook-ups. Wifi works really well. Road to Firefly Hills is windy and somewhat narrow but doesn't have much traffic. We were able to make it there with no issues. It is sometimes hard to find a place in Kentucky and other "red" states where we feel comfortable as a gay couple. This place advertises as inclusive and we felt welcomed and not just tolerated. We were able to kayak on the Kentucky river which was the highlight of our stay. More like staying at a friend's house than staying at an RV park. We really enjoyed meeting the chickens, having fresh eggs, and working in the garden.

Please if you are in Kentucky, do not miss this gem of a place, Firefly Hills! It's run by a wonderful couple, Troy and Tonja, and trust me, it's not just lodging, it's EXPERIENCE. Firefly Hills is not only an RV park, they also rent rooms in their beautifully decorated farmhouse. There are three rooms which share a very large and comfortable bathroom. We were all by ourselves the first several days, but later when some other guests arrived, we didn't have any discomfort sharing the bathroom, everyone was cool and respectful to each other. We gathered on the front porch in the evenings or had a campfire and shared stories and it was such a wonderful quality time. I am not even mentioning a fresh vegetable garden everyone can use and a giant jacuzzi, which is an absolute delight! As far as RV park, RVers take notes: Troy and Tonja are building a huge RV repair shop, because they are RVers themselves and know how hard it is to find a place you can work on your rig. Firefly Hills is not just an RV park, it is a community! Needless to say, if we are ever in the area again, we know where to stay. Troy and Tonja, thank you so much for your hospitality and the unforgettable week.

We camped 2 nights and enjoyed Firefly Hills. The owners are so friendly we appreciated the recycling bins, buckets to save food waste for composting, the pickleball court, the community Campfire, and the general welcoming and friendly sense among all of the campers.

Large (long) FHU sites, with patio! Currently building a bath house, glamping tents, casitas, pickleball courts, and an RV maintenance building. They also rent rooms in the house if your guests dont have an RV. Owners Troy and Tanja are excellent hosts with great local recommendations for food and activities.

Firefly Hills is AMAZING!! This property is beautiful and located a short distance from the heart of the Red River Gorge. There are so many awesome amenities and places to explore at this property that you could literally just spend your whole weekend here, but I love that you also have the opportunity to go get some hiking or climbing in at the RRG nearby. We had a GREAT experience at Firefly Hills. Our kids loved running around catching fireflies, picking berries, and spending nights out on the porch. The owners, Tonja and Troy, are very welcoming and kind. They are providing a great space for RVs, Airbnb guests, glampers, and people who want a taste of homesteading! The area has great food, hiking, rock climbing, swimming spots and culture. We would definitely recommend Firefly Hills to anyone!
